In the administration of vaccines against COVID-19, Equatorial Guinea leads the list of African countries

Equatorial Guinea leads the list of African countries with a total of 142,475 people vaccinated with the first dose of the anticovid vaccine.

According to the online publication “Our world in data”, our country leads -only behind the Seychelles and Morocco- vaccination data on the African continent with 10.2% of the target population. According to the online publication, of this 10.2%, 5.6% have also received the second dose, a figure very far from the median of the African continent which is 0.7%. Regarding the total doses of anticovid vaccine per 100 people, our country also stands out since the global percentage of the African continent is 0.04, while that of Equatorial Guinea is 0.31.
