First anniversary of the arrival of the Henry Revee Medical Brigade to Equatorial Guinea

The President of the Technical Committee of the insular region, Justino Obama Nve, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, Rodobaldo Raúl Isasi Herrera, celebrated, on July 7, 2021, the first anniversary of the arrival of the Henry Revee Medical Brigade to Equatorial Guinea. The objective of this brigade is to reinforce health actions against the pandemic caused by Covid-19, which has been a great challenge for public health and governments, with serious economic and social impacts, revealing very critical world statistics, with millions of deaths, infections and collapses in health systems.

Dr. Tania Balar Yáñez, Head of the Henry Revee Medical Brigade, explained that they arrived “with the conviction that, with professionalism and dedication, and above all with the unit from integration in the health team and led by the We could help to achieve the results that the Equatoguinean people and their Government needed ”.

During this year, a total of 46,763 patients have been treated, carrying out some 283,311 nursing procedures, with more than 2,000 recovered patients.
