
27 May The Vice Minister of Health and Social Welfare participates in the Now Generation Forum
On May 27, 2021, the Deputy Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Mitoha Ondo’o Ayekaba, participated in the Now Generation Forum organized by the African Mo Ibrahim Foundation.
During his speech, the Deputy Minister emphasized “the need for the action plans of African countries to address the vulnerabilities exposed due to the pandemic derived from COVID-19.” Specifically, Ondo’o Ayekaba pointed out the formulation of public policies based on scientific evidence, on the need to create synergies to obtain competitive advantages, at a regional level, such as the African Free Market Agreement and create the necessary conditions for effective financing of health systems and respond to real needs today and for the future.
The Now Generation Forum brings together emerging African leaders and youth from 43 African member countries to gather the perspectives of the majority of the continent’s youth on different sectors and disciplines. The Mo Obrahim Foundation is an African foundation whose main focus is to improve governance and leadership in Africa, from the conviction that they are the basis for any tangible and shared improvement in the quality of life of African citizens
