The Minister of Health and Social Welfare visits the Bioko Sur health district

Visita del Ministro a Bioko surThe Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Diosdado Vicente Nsue Milang, accompanied by several directors of the MINSABS, visited the Bioko Sur health district to learn about its operation and the different needs of the hospital centers. Specifically, he has visited the Riaba District Hospital, the Luba Provincial Hospital and the Batete health center.

In his first meeting with the local authorities and those responsible for the health establishments in Bioko Sur, the Minister of Health and Social Welfare sent a clear message to the different local authorities and those responsible for the health establishments: “it is necessary to strengthen the district health system through community health committees and optimizing health systems, through the National Health Development Plan (PNDS) and, specifically, with the Health District Operationalization Plan (PODS) ”.

We recall that the MINSABS has 6 district health plans in place in Baney, Kogo, Acurenam, Aconibe, Nsok-Nzomo and Annobón that will serve as a model for the implementation of the PNDS at the operational level.

The lack of personnel was one of the needs raised by the hospitals and health centers of Bioko Sur. The Minister was accompanied by the Director General of Public Health, the Director of Hospital Coordination, the Director of Hospital Infrastructures and the Director of Pharmacies.
