Opening of the VI Congress of Medical and Health Sciences

Today, Vice Minister Mitoha Ondo’o Ayekaba inaugurated the VI Congress of Medical and Health Sciences, under the slogan “The path towards Specialized Health Training in Equatorial Guinea in times of COVID”, at the Faculty of Health Sciences of the National University of Equatorial Guinea. The opening ceremony also had the parliaments of the Rector Magnífico of the National University of Equatorial Guinea, Filiberto Ntutumu Nguema, and the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Dr. Ana Carmen Valdés Vento.

“Specialization is an important pillar within the National Health Development Plan to achieve universal access to health services. I trust that this congress will contribute to the need to develop a Health Human Resources Plan”, highlighted the Vice Minister of Health and Social Welfare.

During five days, different aspects of the fields of Medicine, Surgery, Neonatology and Pediatrics and Nursing will be addressed. Prizes will also be awarded for the best communications.
